I’d Like To Go Alone

This is my butterfly project for the poem “I’d Like To Go Alone” I'd like to go away alone. Where there are other nicer people, Somewhere into the far unknown, There, where no one kills another. Maybe more of us, A thousand strong, Will reach this goal Before too long. Alena Synkova Talks about how she wants to leave. People were brutal, they torchured people, they killed people, etc. Alena wanted to escape that.

The movie Life is Beautiful was good, I liked it a lot and it had lots of meaning. The ending was super sad when the father died.  I think what he did was the right thing though because the way he tricked his son into thinking it was all a game. It was not fair that he was shot though. If I was in the dads situation I would have no idea what to do because I could never imagine anything like that.

   Today's the last SLICE of the month of March! Yayayayayaya! I've completed the challenge, I can cross that of my bucket list. I've completed 31 slices! 31! 😲Honestly it wasn't all that hard. *and your hearing this from a beginner😌😏 who has to rememer to post on time, since theres a time difference here in Hawaii. I had fun posting a slice of my life everyday, cause I get to share it with other people! Not only did I finish did challenge, but so have my friends and many others who have completed it with me! 👏Congrats to me and the many other SLICE of LIFERS out there!

   Today I went to the beach, and realized I got a sun tan, and a burn UGHHH. Any who... I went to the beach with my mom and met up with some of the band from yesterday, I even got to meet his kids. Nice ppl.😊👍Today was also the first day I got to Video chat with my close buddies. Who are back in my hometown right now. We cached up on some things and I'm happy that I got to see them, on a screen of course. Even though I'm 7 states away I'm still able to see my buddies.

   I’m about to go see Queens of the Stone Age in like two minutes, so if this is short I’m truly sorry. Today I went to the ocean and ate really good Hawaiian food.

 The show was amazing and we got invited to hang out with josh and his kids and some more of the band at the beach. I’m super excited and I can’t wait.

   Hey um teachers... I usually blog around 8 or 9 and... I’m sorta in Hawaii so... the time change is 5 hours. If it looks like I posted it the next day, it’s because of the time difference.

   Anyways, I just got to my hotel after a (strait) 9 hour flight here. Hawaii is so beautiful. As soon as we got off, we met our shuttle guide and she gave us REAL leis (Lae-z). It smells so good. She gave

us our leis and gave us a friendly kiss on the cheek.

   You don’t even want to see our view... ITS BEAUTIFUL. This is our view from our hotel room.

 I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place so beautiful.


   Tonight I’m going to go see Queens of The Stone Age. It’s one of my moms favorite bands, and she is good friends with them 👌.

   I am headed to Hawaii tomorrow morning at around 10:30 and I'm going to arrive at around 2. It's funny, your thinking 'oh only around a 4 hour flight'. HA! No. It's going to be around 9 hours, but because of the time difference it is going to be weird. I'm going to go back in time lol. I'm super excited because I've never been to Hawaii. Also, I got a shirt from one of my all time most favorite youtuber ever... COLBY BROCK!!! AAA! OK, so this is what it looks like...  (btw thats him wearing it)
He said he is only going to make 300 and then stop selling them so... I'm 1/300 people who own this shirt. It says Brock on the back. I love it so much, It's really comfy. I'm going to wear this for the rest of my life!

   In just 4 days, till everybody goes on spring break... but only 3 for meee!!! I'm going to Hawaii on Wednesday. I'm going to miss the Holocaust museum trip but it's OK, I mean I can always go to a museum but when can I go to Hawaii? Right? (Also I've been to  Auschwitz so...) Anyways, I'm traveling with my mom to see Queens of the Stone Age and just for fun. I've never been to Hawaii so this should be loads of fun! I do not know how I am going to blog considering i can't bring the computer with... NO!!! I hope it ends before Wednesday!

   Somebody asked for my number today :)))))) I will say no more than that. It's funny how the little things people do can make your whole day without even knowing it. It is kind of like YouTubers. I think they do it to make people's day better but I don't know if they know how much they impact people's life. I know that from my own standpoint. Like if Shane, or Sam and Colby post a video if I'm busy I'm like I need to make time for this. First off I go to the video, then like it and comment "ILY OMG" or something like that, then continue on with my day as normal and watch it later. And when I'm not doing anything important I run upstairs to my room (I'm normally already there lol) or somewhere private where I won't disturb other people. YouTubers mean a lot to me. I know thats kinda weird but I'm weird so... 😂Yeah.

  I am playing games with my friends in my computer and it is the bomb. I'm in the middle of a mad hide and seek game. So far, I've won every time! I have hidden in the same spot each time, and absolutely nobody has found me. Now I'm in a different map and I'm up so high NOBODY WILL EVER FIND ME MUHAHAHAH! Just kidding, loll. I really want to move to try to get higher but I'm not sure if I will be able to get back up. Too late I won! Yay. I don't really have anything else to talk about... so... adios amigos!

Today the sweetest thing happened. So as I was walking back from gym class, the maybe... 3rd or 4th graders were walking past and they all put their teeny hands out for high fives. It was the cutest thing and it made my day. As I walked by, I gave them all high fives and they were complementing me. I wanted to cry. They were like "You are so nice" "You're cool" "You are pretty" AAA! It made me so happy. You got to enjoy the little things.

   Today I went with two of my best buddies to Me to We, then art club, then youth crossroads afterwords. I made a  picture in art club that said "I'm going to die" in art club, as a joke. But... then in youth crossroads we were talking about... SUICIDE... awkward. So, I hid the poster in my backpack XD.

   Today I went to the mall with my family to go watch A Wrinkle in Time, honestly it was really good that I cried. After wards we went to Michael's and got and bought crafty stuff... Anyway *lets get to the point. Remember yesterdays blog when I wrote about how I wanted my friends to come over that day, well today one, only one, got to come over. Me and Vivian hanged out for the rest of the day today. We talked about 😉 some stuff, hanged out with my cats, watched You Tube videos, watched ZOMBIE LAND. I was so happy that someone had gotten to come over since I was so lonely yesterday. I'm glad we got to end this day on a nice note.😊

   I'm excited about tomorrow because I have the day off due to voting. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do but, hopefully my friends can come over. Then we can talk about school, and guys, and girls, etc. One of the best moments of the day was when this girl comes over to MY table and then says "Is that slime? That's like... 2 years ago." I look at her like 🙄 OK IDC. I said "Mk cool, great. You know, I don't really care, as long as I enjoy it." AND NOT EVEN 10 MINUTES LATER... "Can I play with the slime." AHAH NOPE. I said in a rude way like she did "But isn't that like SOOO TWO YEARS AGO?" AHAH YEAH THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT. Long story short she left home with a black eye, no no no. Just kidding, no. Everyone's good. Goodnight!

Sisters ~ Book Reveiw

   Sisters is a graphic novel about two sisters who go on a road trip with their family. There are other parts with flash backs and other cool writing techniques. He work is impeccable and for some reason the smell of the book is great :P. Do you have a little sibling? Do you have a sister? Do you have a friend who is like a sister? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you would probably relate to a lot of points in the book. The main characters are Rina, Amara, Will and mother and father. Rina really wanted a sister till one day, she got one; Amara. Amara was cute, and sweet, but could get annoying, and upset, etc. She uses the flashbacks and present stories, with a little bit of humor to tell the story of her and her sisters childhood over the course of the road trip to Colorado for a family reunion. They have to learn how to get along and work together as a team after a baby brother is welcomed into the family. And I believe that that is the theme, perceiver through everything so things can be better in life.

   Today I am going to my family's house for Easter? or St. Patricks Day? I don't really know yet. I just know it will be fun because my cousins are going to be there. I have been going to my families house every year for different occasions. Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, etc. We get together every year at least once, and I think that is very important. Without the with your family, you don't get to experience your heritage. Things like family recipes, family history, and hearing others life stories. Learn from other peoples mistakes. Also seeing your little cousins; event the ones you may hate. You can learn some "parenting" skills / how to babysit. It's good to be with family in general.

   Today I am going to my grandmas house for the weekend. I'm super excited. I brought my skateboard so I can skate when I get there.

   Ok, so I skated for about an hour, then went out for an adventure. As I went to jump on a bile of dirt  I sink ankle deep in black mud. Luckily, I changed out of my Vans or else I would have cried. I put on shoes that I was ok with getting wet, witch was the best idea. ( Thank you grandpa!) My grandparents  aren't your typical sit in lazy chairs, magazine reading, get off my lawn sort of grandparents. They are the coolest people ever. My grandma wakes up bright and early and works out. My grandpa goes out and tends to the ENORMOUS yard. They are in excellent shape, healthy as a... person with no... unhealthiness? 😂 I'm so thankful for them 😍 they are a huge part of my life.

   Yesterday I got my very first pair of glasses. It was very scary but, there was no reason to be scared. 😂 I get nervous for no reason sometimes. But today, was my first day at school with them... oh my god. I was/am so nervous what people will say. Not like “oh you look ugly.” No not like that, like is somebody complements me or if a teacher is like “Oh Lily, you got glasses?!” I... turn... bright red. Not like oh haha cute little blush... no. 🍅 Tomato red. I get really hot and I stay red for about a full minute, if feels like an hour though. This is an accurate representation of me everyday.

(Surprisingly the entire day, I didn't turn red ONCE! WOW!)

   Today was the 3rd Ela test. It wasn’t that bad, my extended response was just “Finnish the story” and it was pretty easy I’ll have to say. Parcc is just super draining. I promise my blog posts will get much longer once it’s over. My brain is just complete mush afterwards. You know what? I want teachers, parents, just adults in general, to try park, the whole test. The whole week or two. See how meantally draining it is.

Hey, have you ever seen a movie called Zombieland? Well, if you like humor plus a little horror this movie is the best. It's rated R I believe... but its amazing. There is a lot of swearing but, if your parents say it's OK then go ahead. I would recommend this movie 10/10. I know I've told you its great and all but not even what its about! Zombieland is the world where only a few people are alive in the world and not everyone knows were more people are if there are any. They find each other out of no where and they have their ups and downs. They each have different personalities which makes it that much more interesting. I don't want to give any details because it is super easy to give away the ending! Go watch it!

   The first PARCC was... OK. Not really, but I think I did a good job. (One hour of YouTube (Untold ER) later)  It was exhausting. It was only 11 questions but you have to answer long, mind tricking questions. (Another distracted hour later) Surprisingly, I didn't get distracted-like always-with things like a pencil or anything! But I'm extremely distracted right now. This is never going to be fully finished so... (30 minutes later) BYE!

(on iPad at 11:53) I have the perfect idea. Spring break and traveling.

For spring break I’m going to Hawaii. 🤫🤩 People often get offended when I talk about traveling. I travel way more often than a lot of people. I’m not saying road trip to Indiana, I mean like hour long flights to Europe. I normally travel with just my mom, but I’ve been on a flight alone once... it was scary at first. I’ve been to a lot of places, and when we go we do we do a full round trip. A good analogy would be going to a different mall and only going to one store. We go to multiple different points, for example Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and another trip would be Transylvania, Lithuania, etc. It's fun and I would recommend that everybody travel more.

     SO; today I wanted to got to the park because it was a nice day right? Well one of my friends was at the mall with her friend SHOPPING OK. She says "I'll be home in 20-30 minutes" All good with me. Then I'm like can we go to the park when you get home? She's like "I'm not home." GIRL I KNOW YOU'RE NOT HOME! Then she says "I'm not going to be home in another hour." not even 10 minutes later... what. Then we augured some more. I finally get her to understand I'm trying to ask what will she be doing after the mall and why can't you go. SHE SAYS BECAUSE I'M TIRED. HUH? I'm telling her things like 'You're moving soon... lets cram as much us time together as we can' 'If you died tomorrow would you be happy knowing you spent your day napping instead of spending it with your best friend?' etc. It got bad for no reason so now shes mad at me so... yay. I just wanted her to understand that life is too short.

MAN! I didn't know I could be this responsible with something! I've been doing this challenge for 10 DAYS! I'm proud. "I'M UGLY AND I'M PROUD!'" This is the perfect topic for today... Spongebob. I love spongebob, will never stop loving spongebob, and I am a goofy goober for life.😂 Spongebob is one of those things that I (like many people) just don't grow out of. I quote spongebob at least 1 once a day. Is that anybody else? No, just me? 😂 The amount of my life that is spent watching it is astonishing. It has been around longer than I've been alive. It started in 1999 and I was born in 2004... oh my. Sorry 😂 this is sort of off topic but as I was researching one of the common questions was... WHAT IS MR.KRABS LAST NAME? Are you that dumb... news flash IT'S KRABS.

Update: UNGROUNDED!!!
Whoa... This is strange. Hey I'm typing this on my computer... cool! The reason? PARCC... AAAH! PARCC is an uncomfortable, nerve racking, anxiety inducing, standardized test. And get this, the one day we have a break in between the PARCC testing days, our math teacher decides 'Oh that's a great opportunity to...TAKE A MATH TEST'. Thank you for that. Ily but why? A CBS website says students spend and average of "Between 20-25 hours"  of standardized testing in a lifetime. Also "It said testing amounts to about 2.3 percent of classroom time for the average eighth-grader in public school. Between pre-K and 12th grade, students took about 112 mandatory standardized exams."Wow. That just blows my mind. I hope this opens peoples eyes. Thanks :)

Hey Hoo it’s time to get schwifty! Today is Thursday, nothing super cool happened today. The only thing worth talking about is my friends :’). Let me start off by saying... I love my friends. They are the best. We started this thing where we go to the bathroom and hang for less than 2 minutes at the same time everyday because friendship is important. Me and my best friends don’t have classes together 😩. I miss it. They moved my gym class and now literally have no friends. All of my friends are in that class but me. I cried and still want to cry talking about it. I am going to have them move me back 4th quarter 🤗 cause I don’t care anymore. Not cool man 😒. Wish me luck.

   Today was picture day and everyone looked beautiful. I mean 😳🤯 B-E-A-U-T-Y-F-U-L. All the girls wore dresses (mostly) and all the guys wore suits or just dressy shirts and ties (mostly). The pictures are always awkward, the people who take the pictures are always kinda creepy or confusing or just weird. I’m not saying all of them, but a lot.
   Ok... the main point of this was to say the perk. Complements. Commenting is fun and almost everyone does it. “Oh hey I like ur dress!” “Nice suit, you look good!”  That kind of thing. But the funniest part is hearing the girls talking about the guys. 😂 Boys, I want to know if guys do this. The girls will all get together and be like “Ooo, have you seen (name) yet? 🤩 omg! They are so handsome!”🤷‍♀️ 😂 Yes? No? Do guys do that? 😂

Back to school... wooh 😌  The topic today is: Ghosting

   Have you ever been ghosted?    Have you ever ghosted someone?
I guess the more important thing to ask is do you know what ghosting is? Well,
ghosting is where somebody you’ve been talking to just *POOF* disappears, reads your texts doesn’t rely, you text them something and they strait up ignore you. Yeah. It’s painful. I’ve just now learned how it feels - and boy is it the worst feeling ever. I’ve never really ghosted someone before. I just feel like that’s so mean to do to someone. So the lesson here today is Don’t ghost people, it hurts. If somebody is realllllly bothering you tell them to politely GET OUT OF MY LIFE. I’m just kidding, just tell them “Please stop texting/speaking to me, (reason why).” Otherwise they are like “umm hey why did ja’ just stop?” Anyway I hope you humans learned a lesson on “letting em’ down easy”.

Update: Still grounded
My parents said if I clean I could use my phone for the night. So... we have the swifter pads but not the swifter thingie. Idk how to exspain it but... you know what? Here. 

So, long story short I put my shoes on, put the pads on my shoes, cleaned downstairs, THE stairs, then upstairs. Then as I go to go downstairs to put away the pads. ~SLIP~ ✮SMACK!✮ long Yeah... ouch. So, I hit my tail bone, my back, and my elbow. Nothing is broken but it hurt pretty bad. 🙄

So... today... was... “fun”. 

   Today we drove back from Detroit and we got about an hour away from the family’s house and we get a call. I. Left. My. iPad. My school, iPad. So... I needed to bring it to do this blog challenge (slice of life) for fun but I still had to bring it or I lost the challenge. I was sure it was in my backpack but I guess i didn’t put it in there or one of the boys took it out don’t know to be honest. Long story short I’m grounded for a week so... yay. Wish me luck. ☹️

 Today I went to Detroit to see my family for one of my uncle and my cousins birthday and it was fun.  Me and my cousins shot video about three musketeers and we had to deal with the little boy cousins.  Tonight we’re going to have a sleepover and build a fort. One of the highlights of the day was us playing Mafia. I won twice and died once. The best part is going to be the sleepover :p.

    Once again, nothing really “outstanding” happened today so... I have a message to people. LIFE IS TOO SHORT. Do the things you’ve always wanted to do. Dark side: You don’t know when your going to die, how, and what you will be doing. It could happen at any point in your life. What do you want to do? Think for a minute... you know what, don’t waste your time thinking about it, DO IT! If you dedicate your time doing the things you love, with the people you love, with the things you love, you will find your life will be much happier.

   I learned this from a friend really close to me that made me think about my life. I’m really curious, what do you guys (nobody :p) want to do with your life? Spend it sitting down starring at a paper, iPad, tv, etc? Or outside, in a different country? Trying new foods from those countries? Learning about the history of a place and ACTUALLY BEING THERE? Sounds fun no? Sounds pretty fun to me. Side Note: If you are afraid to go to a different country, or go on a plane, etc, stop. Be optimistic. Yes, it’s stressful getting on a plane worrying about if you will get off but, it doesn’t happen often. And when it does it’s normally a really not-so-good airline. Just don’t worry.

   Spend time with your friends. Your friends influence your life a lot. If you feel like someone isn’t your friend that you felt was, talk to them. Tell them how you feel and if they don’t change move on. You don’t need them. Find your true friends and pick up on their good qualities.

   Thank you for reading this. I hope your inspired. I’m not a super follow-your-own-rainbow kind of person. I like to force it into people. 😂 Did you notice? DO YOU REALLY WANNA DO THAT WITH YOUR LIFE?! Yeah. I just want people to understand that.

   Today, I just wanted to talk about one my most favorite bands ever. Nothing super interesting has happened yet today, but I love to talk about the things I love and what others love. 

   There is a band, it is called Waterparks. You probably... haven’t.. heard of them... and that’s ok! They make what some people would say “emo” music. It’s not depressing, sad, slow music... no. It’s more of skater boy, black ripped jeans, band tee, music. According to google they are a “rock band”.

  The band is 3 people, The group currently consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Awsten Knight, backing vocalist and lead guitarist Geoff Wigington, and the drummer Otto Wood.

13 Reasons Why ~ Book Review

13 Reasons Why

     The book 13 Reasons Why by: Jay Asher is about a girl who recorded 13 audio tapes before before she committed suicide. The story is told from Clay’s point of view so you can really imagine what it would it be like to be a person in that situation. It makes you think... how would I feel if   I was in this situation? Personally, I have no idea. Each one of the tapes have 2 reasons except for the 13th tape witch is only one sided. Clay finds out why he is on the tapes and gets upset and thinks about how he could have changed the outcome of the situation. The end is interesting and I really recommend you read it. Even though it doesn’t have pictures, or drawings it is phenomenal. Plus, there is a tv version on Netflix. The tv show is good but the book has lots of exstra detail. I like both for multiple different reasons.

Over the weekend I went to sky zone for my friends birthday. She ended up showing up about an hour later 😂. It was upsetting because we had to wait to jump till she go there, but it was also supper  hilarious bonding experience. Me and one of my best friends drove together and a couple more people came too. As me and my best friend waited more people (from my school) came. It was awkward at first but then it was fun bonding over how we were going to roast her when she got there.  It was a good day 😂👌.

Yesterday in math one of my friends ate pen ink, 😂 here’s the story. He told me he had a broken pen and sowed it to me how the ink went everywhere in the actual pen. I told him a story about how I was trying to get the ink out of a black pen and a little went in my mouth. Then...  he takes the pen pops of the tip of it and drinks it 😂. It was a red pen so it looked like he had a mouth full of neon blood. If you didn’t think this was supper hilarious... you had to be there 😂.

  My perfect meal, dream meal, best meal, would be EVERYTHING! First of all i would have majic soup, I know you don’t know what that is and that’s ok. It’s a thin Japanese soup but full of crazy delicious flavors of steak, basil, and every flavor you could imagine. You can add sprouts and lime, saracha, etc. Then, for the second corse, I would eat sushi. Some fresh greens, some crunchy tempora, some spicy sauce, etc. Peach mochi afterwards, cause... mochi is everything! Later, we would eat mushroom empanadas, burgers, steak, and Chinese food. Chinese food is one the greatest things in the world. I’ve eating Chinese food and tacos for most of my child hood.
  A food that really takes me back and reminds me of the olden days is mostaccioli. (Mas-at-Chole-ee) My dad, his girlfriend, my sister and I, would order JB Alberto’s mostaccioli almost every week. Me and my sister LOVE it. 

One Word Goal

Chances

   I was told to do the 2018 one word project and the word I chose is Chances and I’ve picked this for many reasons. I want to take as many chances as I can in many different ways. I want to go out with friends as much as I can so I can spend time with them. I want to listen to music and chance I get. Music is important because I teaches you new words,  lessons, and just all around music. Everyone should listen to music. Any chance I get I want to explore different places, countries, buildings, etc. Going out and experiencing different atmospheres is super cool and fun. Going out and seeing new places and things is super important. If you spend your whole life with no worries, when you get into a bad situation, you won’t know how to act-same goes for the flip side. If you take the chance to go somewhere, do something, interact with different people, you can learn from it. Not all places are the same as the place you are normally, and that’s why it is important to take every chance you can. In the future, when I go to high school, if I get the chance to do extra classes, zero hour, go on a trip, believe me I will take it. It’s  because it’s important to me. Hopefully everyone is inspired to do the same project as me.
